It's funny how things turn out...

Years ago, as a real estate buyer, I had a really poor experience with an agent. The result was I felt negatively about the industry as a whole. Very mistrustful.

Until…

My job was eliminated and I suddenly found myself asking, “What am I going to do now?”

A couple of friends in the real estate industry encouraged me to become a Realtor®. Reluctantly, I agreed and happily it ended up being a great decision.

With the guidance from my real estate mentors, I quickly learned the ropes. I also found enormous satisfaction with each client I worked with, both buyers and sellers.

I never wanted them to have the experience I had all those years ago. Instead, I have made it my creed that I would rather not have a sale than to have an unhappy client.

My Mama Bear Approach with Buyers

When grown children go house hunting, it’s not unusual for them to bring their parents to a showing, and I completely understand.

They want to make sure their kids are represented fairly. It doesn’t take long for these parents to see that I am diligent about pointing out not only the benefits of a property, but also what could be flagged for repair by a home inspector.

It’s the mama bear in me. I look out for my buyers, making sure they have all the information they need to make the decision that’s right for them.

The same is true for my sellers. My highest priority is making sure they are fully informed about:

• The buying and negotiating process

• Their responsibilities as a seller

• Staging their home for greater curb appeal

• The total expenses incurred in selling their home

• Making sure they have a healthy profit from their sale!
